I’m far from a perfect mother, and my children are far from perfect — but one thing I won’t allow is for them to mistreat others, definitely not in my presence. I Am Such a Show-off!
Recently, some of you might have noticed (or maybe ignored) that I’ve started posting my daily workout stories on Instagram—updates about medals or certificates for completing 5K walks and runs. I know what some of you are thinking: “Plenty of people walk or run more than 5K every day without posting about it. Why is she showing off?” Why am I making such a big deal about my 5Ks? 5K may be small for some. But for me, every step forward is a big deal. And if my journey gets even one more person moving, I think I’ve already won.
Road Trip from Hyderabad to Badami
A quick long weekend getaway from Hyderabad - Badami - was a pleasant surprise. Since it is closer to Hampi, most of the tourists club Hampi and Badami together. We, however, could not cover it during our trip to Hampi. The weather played its role perfectly, giving a stunning background to our photographs. Beautifully preserved caves, ruins, and an ancient temple on the lake. Visit Badami (and Hampi) just when it starts to rain or when it just stops. Avoid the peak monsoon and summer seasons. Don't forget to pack your own lunch for the road!

It might sound harsh, even heartless, but the tragic stampede in Bengaluru following RCB’s IPL 2025 victory wasn’t just a failure of government or team management. It was also a reflection of our collective recklessness—an unwillingness to think critically, a blind surrender to celebrity obsession, and a disregard for basic safety. It's never acceptable to sacrifice your life for a celebrity who, at the end of the day, is simply doing a job—one they are paid crores of rupees to perform—while you, at most, receive a blank wave in your direction.
The Bigger War!
With a growing number of incidents across the Country, mainly in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and West Bengal, where native residents are harassing people from other states to speak only the local language or face dire consequences, the situation has become alarming. Sitting miles away from these places, I can still see clearly that these are politically motivated actions. Many Maharashtrians are condemning such behavior, where Marathi is being forced on non-Marathi speakers.
