Movie Review: Sitaare Zameen Par - Sabka Apna Apna Normal

A remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions, the story follows Gulshan (Aamir Khan), an assistant basketball coach who, after a drunken hit-and-run incident, is sentenced to coach a team of neurodivergent players. Though reluctant at first, he learns to appreciate their unique strengths, with help from the facility manager, Kartar Paaji (Gurpal Singh). The film challenges the notion of “normal” and redefines what it means to win.

Book Review: The Zora Trigger

For someone who has grown up watching military-based thriller movies, reading The Zora Trigger offers a different experience. It has a slow start, but picks up pace around the middle. Readers will genuinely feel the pain of Param, a realistic portrayal of a man with prosthetic legs.

Movie Review: I Want To Talk

Abhishek Bachchan delivers yet another deeply impactful performance. For those who have written him off, perhaps you're measuring an actor’s success solely by box office numbers. But if you value range, conviction, and memorable portrayals, Abhishek Bachchan is a fantastic actor. The film is based on a real-life figure - Arjun Sen (a fact I only learned after the movie ended) - a man who underwent nearly 20 life-altering, often life-threatening, surgeries. You’ll understand the full weight of this line once you watch the film. Why did he endure so much pain, one surgery after another? This movie tries to answer that, quietly and powerfully.

The Eternal Web Of Blame: Who's Really At Fault?

It might sound harsh, even heartless, but the tragic stampede in Bengaluru following RCB’s IPL 2025 victory wasn’t just a failure of government or team management. It was also a reflection of our collective recklessness—an unwillingness to think critically, a blind surrender to celebrity obsession, and a disregard for basic safety. It's never acceptable to sacrifice your life for a celebrity who, at the end of the day, is simply doing a job—one they are paid crores of rupees to perform—while you, at most, receive a blank wave in your direction.

The Bigger War!

With a growing number of incidents across the Country, mainly in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and West Bengal, where native residents are harassing people from other states to speak only the local language or face dire consequences, the situation has become alarming. Sitting miles away from these places, I can still see clearly that these are politically motivated actions. Many Maharashtrians are condemning such behavior, where Marathi is being forced on non-Marathi speakers.

Raising a Reader!

As someone who picked up this habit later in life, I can say without a doubt: books are the wisest investment - for your children and yourself, too. And if you want your child to get into reading, the best thing you can do is pick up a book yourself. You won’t regret it.

I See Green!

I may not be climbing a career ladder right now, but I’m building something else: patience, perspective, and purpose. That’s not nothing. That’s something. If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone. Sometimes, all it takes is a date, like 23rd May, to spark a flood of memories and emotions. In my case, it reminded me of how far I’ve come, even when it feels like I’m standing still. To my friends reaching amazing milestones: I’m so proud of you. To those quietly navigating life’s turns, like me: I see you.

A Run to Remember - my first 5K!

From M to XL, I didn’t like it. Weight isn’t a problem for me because it makes me look bad; I was never “good-looking.” But it bothers me because many times I feel suffocated and lethargic, which leads to insomnia, bloating, etc. Since last year, I’ve been trying to be regular with walks. There are months when I’m consistent, and then there are months when I don’t step out at all. After February 22, 2025, the 9th of March 2025 will hold a special place in my heart. I participated in a 5K run. Though it was a Fun Run, for someone like me, it was a serious event.
